Job Summary
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Coordinate districtwide state interim and local assessments while supporting accountability reporting academic data integrity and instructional decision-making. Manage and support academic systems and applications including Skyward Academics and Eduphoria. Provide campuses with guidance on master scheduling student scheduling grading academic records assessment administration and data analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications
(a) Masters degree in educational leadership curriculum and instruction counseling educational technology or a related field.
(b) Valid Texas teaching certificate.
(c) Texas Principal Mid-Management or Administrator certificate preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
(a) Knowledge of Texas assessment and accountability requirements.
(b) Knowledge of STAAR STAAR Alternate 2 TELPAS TELPAS Alternate interim assessments and related testing platforms.
(c) Knowledge of master scheduling course setup grading credits transcripts and academic records.
(d) Advanced skills in spreadsheets databases student information systems and web-based applications.
(e) Ability to reconcile data from multiple sources and resolve system discrepancies.
(f) Strong organizational project-management training and communication skills.
(g) Ability to manage multiple priorities and critical deadlines.
Preferred Experience
(a) Three years of successful classroom teaching experience.
(b) Three years of experience with Texas assessments accountability academic systems or student data preferred.
(c) Experience with Skyward Academics Eduphoria master scheduling or comparable systems preferred.
(d) Demonstrated experience analyzing and reporting student performance data.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Executive Director of Curriculum & Instruction:
(a) Coordinate districtwide administration of state national interim benchmark and local assessments.
(b) Develop the annual district assessment calendar and communicate testing requirements and deadlines.
(c) Train campus testing coordinators and staff on assessment procedures security accommodations and compliance.
(d) Coordinate student registration files testing materials online testing readiness and campus testing logistics.
(e) Maintain test security and investigate and submit testing irregularities as required.
(f) Serve as the district liaison with TEA the regional service center and assessment vendors.
(g) Manage and support academic systems and applications used for scheduling grading assessment and reporting.
(h) Serve as a district resource for Skyward Academics including courses sections gradebooks report cards transcripts credits and student schedules.
(i) Support campus master schedule development and review schedules for accuracy balance efficiency and alignment with staffing and student needs.
(j) Coordinate districtwide use of Eduphoria for assessment creation administration scoring data analysis and reporting.
(k) Troubleshoot academic system roster course scheduling grading and assessment-data issues.
(l) Collaborate with PEIMS Technology Special Education Multilingual Education Human Resources and campus leadership to maintain accurate academic data.
(m) Analyze state and local assessment results to identify achievement trends strengths and areas for improvement.
(n) Prepare reports dashboards and presentations for district leaders principals instructional teams and the Board of Trustees.
(o) Assist with accountability calculations data verification staff training and accountability appeals.
(p) Develop procedures user guides training materials and timelines for academic systems and assessment processes.
(q) Provide professional development and technical assistance to campus and district staff.
(r) Maintain confidentiality and comply with federal law state law TEA requirements Board policy and district procedures.
(s) Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
(a) None.
Working Conditions:
(a) Prolonged computer use and repetitive hand motions.
(b) Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain accuracy under strict deadlines.
(c) Frequent travel between district campuses.
(d) Occasional prolonged or irregular work hours during testing and scheduling periods.
(e) Occasional lifting and moving of testing materials weighing up to 40 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to grasp handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
