CookDietary Aide

Burnett Medical Center is currently looking for a part-time Cook/Dietary Aide to work in our busy dietary department.

SHIFT & HOURS: 0.8 FTE (64 hours per pay period) includes weekends and holidays;

Cook hours: 5am-1:30pm/10am-6:30pm

Dietary Aide hours: 6am-2:30pm

This is a benefit-eligible position including PTO medical dental vision employer-paid life insurance employer-paid short-term disability along with an opportunity to participate in our 401k retirement plan which includes up to a 3% match.

JOB SUMMARY

Preparing meals cooking and serving nursing home residents hospital patients employees and the public following recipes practices and procedures and complying with regulatory requirements. Cleaning and cross-trained for positions to fill-in for vacations etc.

• One year of institutional cooking experience preferred. Will train the right candidate.
• Must be able to follow and understand recipes written instructions and labels and communicate with dietary personnel.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Dependable.
• Must be able to stand on feet for several hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to stand room temperatures up to at least 90 degrees.
• Must be able to operate heavy equipment.
