The Role:
As a Controls Engineer at General Motors LLC you will be instrumental in the design development and implementation of robust control systems for manufacturing processes. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency and ensuring system reliability with a strong emphasis on manufacturability and safety.
What Youll Do (Responsibilities):
Configure program test and troubleshoot PLC based control systems and associated components.
Electrical troubleshooting and testing of controls systems control panels and associated equipment.
Program debug and continuously improve Fanuc Robots
Support and actively interact with manufacturing maintenance and quality groups.
Program and troubleshoot Siemens HMIs
Continuously improve quality cost responsiveness & safety.
Integration of new technologies into existing architectures.
Work in a cross functional team to troubleshoot ongoing issues.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
At least 2 years of experience in PLC Programming or 2 years experience programming fanuc robots.
HMI Siemens TIA Portal
Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to assist in troubleshooting.
Servo drive systems Bosch and Rockwell Powerflex and Kinetix
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Proficiency in industrial networking protocols Profibus ProfiNet TCP/IP and EtherNetIP.
HMI Siemens TIA Portal and Ingition.
PLC Allen Bradley Rockwell
Servo drive systems Rexroth and Rockwell Powerflex/Kinetix.
Robotic experience Fanuc
Vision - Matrox Fanuc Keyence.
This position may off-shift production support.
