Company & Position Overview
Established mental health organization seeking a strong Controller or finance professional to work closely with leadership on financial oversight healthcare billing tracking and revenue visibility across the organization.
This role is heavily tied to healthcare billing and revenue cycle performance. The ideal candidate will help track what is being billed what is being collected where revenue is being lost and identify operational or billing issues impacting cash flow and financial performance.
The organization is looking for someone analytical hands-on detail-oriented and comfortable digging into billing collections financial reports and operational data to provide leadership with accurate visibility into company performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Track healthcare billing activity collections and revenue flow across the organization
- Monitor expected vs. actual reimbursements and identify discrepancies
- Review denied claims unpaid balances aging reports and payment delays
- Work closely with billing teams to identify revenue leakage and improve collections
- Analyze financial operational and billing reports to identify trends and inefficiencies
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reporting for leadership
- Help improve revenue tracking systems dashboards and reporting visibility
- Review expenses subscriptions and operational workflows for inefficiencies
- Assist with financial organization reporting structure and process improvements
- Support or lead transition from legacy accounting systems to modern platforms such as QuickBooks
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to improve overall financial performance
Qualifications
- Prior experience as an Assistant Controller Controller Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing collections or revenue cycle operations
- Experience reviewing claims payments denials aging and reimbursement reporting
- Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
- Ability to analyze data identify discrepancies and solve problems
- Healthcare mental health ABA or medical billing experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working across multiple systems reports and financial datasets
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Tech-savvy mindset; experience with dashboards reporting tools or QuickBooks is a plus
- Experience migrating from legacy accounting software to modern platforms preferred
