Become a Key Player as a Contracts Manager I
You will lead the contracts function to develop negotiate and administer contracts that enable product programs and new product introductions. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders customers and government representatives to reduce contractual risk and support program objectives. This is an onsite role based in Mentor OH with responsibility for Mentor and Moncks Corner SC sites.
Heres How Youll Make an Impact on the Team
- Manage and take accountability for performance of assigned contracts and programs including negotiations and coordination across internal teams
- Develop contracts and proposals aligned to division goals and product lines with emphasis on NPI and product schedule agreements
- Lead analysis interpretation investigation and research of contractual information; provide guidance and negotiation alternatives
- Evaluate and mitigate contractual risk related to cost exposure and change control during contract performance
- Oversee task planning resource requirements and program financial reporting considerations
- Establish direction for the functional team mentor direct reports and champion professional certification and development
- Support or execute export compliance duties and respond to regulatory or customer compliance inquiries
- Coordinate training and business meetings to increase cross-functional contract knowledge
Heres What Youll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related discipline
- 7 years of related experience including at least 2 years in a project lead role
- Contract management certification required; Program Management certification may be required or preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple contracts of varying complexity and scope
- Strong negotiation skills and thorough knowledge of contract management processes terms and applicable regulations
- Experience with manufacturing contracts and new product introductions (NPI)
- Ability to assess contractual risk lead teams to resolve complex program issues and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficiency with standard business software and contract/project management tools
Heres What Else Might Help You Out
- Aerospace military/commercial or electronics manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Advanced degree (MS/MBA/JD) preferred
- Certification or in-depth knowledge of export regulatory requirements (ECoP or equivalent preferred)
Pay Range
$120k-122k/year
