Contracts Administrator to manage and administer contracts of moderate scope and complexity while serving as a key liaison between the company and its customers. The Contracts Administrator ensures contractual compliance supports business growth through proposal and contract activities monitors contract performance and collaborates cross-functionally to meet customer requirements and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Administration
Administer assigned contracts and purchase orders to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
Review and analyze customer purchase orders Basic Contract Agreements and Long-Term Agreements.
Evaluate contract requirements including delivery schedules pricing terms and conditions and performance obligations.
Monitor contract performance and identify the need for amendments modifications or extensions.
Determine when customer-requested changes fall outside contractual scope.
Proposal Development & Contract Negotiation
Prepare technically and commercially compliant proposals in response to customer requirements and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
Coordinate with internal departments to gather performance requirements delivery schedules labor estimates and material costs.
Develop proposal responses and submit complete bid packages.
Negotiate pricing terms and conditions delivery schedules and other contractual provisions within authorized limits.
Ensure all contract terms are clear compliant and aligned with company policies and legal requirements.
Order Management & Customer Support
Perform moderate order entry and manage schedule changes.
Support customer portal management activities.
Create and maintain demand plans as part of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding assigned contracts and orders.
Conduct customer communications and participate in customer presentations and meetings.
Review and analyze purchase orders and contractual requirements.
Issue Resolution & Compliance
Investigate and resolve customer claims complaints and contract-related issues.
Coordinate with engineering quality operations and other departments to resolve technical and business matters.
Support export compliance activities and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
Maintain compliance with federal state industry and aerospace regulations.
Advise management on compliance risks and required corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement
Apply Lean principles to establish and improve standard work processes.
Maintain current knowledge of contract management practices regulations and industry trends.
Participate in professional development activities and relevant industry associations.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related field required.
Professional certification preferred including:
National Contract Management Association (NCMA)
International Association for Contract & Commercial Management (IACCM) or equivalent
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract administration or a closely related field.
Experience in customer-facing contract administration required.
Experience supporting commercial or government contracts preferred.
Aerospace or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of contract administration principles practices regulations and policies.
Knowledge of commercial contracting government contracting and export compliance requirements.
Ability to interpret and analyze moderately complex contract terms and conditions.
Strong proposal development and contract negotiation skills.
Experience with order management demand planning and customer communication processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business management systems.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
