About the Organization:Lines for Life is a regional non-profit that is dedicated to preventing substance abuse and suicide. We offer help and hope to individuals and communities and promote mental health for all. Our work addresses a spectrum of needs that include intervention prevention and advocacy. We educate train and advocate to prevent issues of substance abuse mental illness and thoughts of suicide from reaching crisis levels. But when a crisis arises or support is needed we are available 24/7/365 to intervene with personalized help.

Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership Program DirectorPosition Summary: This position leads the work of the Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership (CSPP) a dynamic and growing initiative to help reduce suicide and promote mental wellness in the construction industry.

Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership Program Director Responsibilities:

  • Lead the work of the Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership.
  • Develop and implement strategy policies and initiatives designed to reduce and prevent substance abuse and suicide and promote mental wellness in the construction industry.
  • Nurture develop and grow relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry to promote growth and meet the objective of a workplace more focused on mental health.
  • Drive program growth by expanding membership increasing engagement strengthening value and creating new opportunities for reach and sustainability.
  • Partner with the Development Department to increase financial support for CSPP through membership sponsorships donations and grant funding.
  • Lead grant writing and other funding efforts as needed.
  • Serve as the public leader of the Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership presenting at major events and conferences meeting with construction executives and leaders in the industry and mental health communities.
  • Collaborate with internal subject-matter experts and program partners to develop and expand fee-for-service training that builds workplace mental health skills and generates revenue to sustain the program.
  • Lead development of training and skill-building curriculum designed to improve mental health and crisis response skills among workers in the construction industry.
  • Lead and grow CSPPs training efforts including personally leading trainings as appropriate and supporting training conducted by other team members.
  • Lead outreach and engagement to grow services and reach
  • Supervise the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator including regular one-on-one supervision work assignment and prioritization performance feedback annual evaluations timesheet review where applicable and professional development.
  • Lead the planning and execution of key CSPP initiatives committees and meetings ensuring clear objectives assigned responsibilities timely follow-through and measurable progress.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Department to ensure effective and timely communication about the work of the Partnership including but not limited to:
    • Annual report to members
    • Annual prospectus for members
    • Regular anti stigma and mental health and wellness promotion messaging
  • Actively participate in the fiscal oversight and budget process for the Partnership


Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership Program DirectorRequired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in program leadership prevention behavioral health workplace wellness or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex programs and aligning diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of suicide prevention substance misuse prevention and mental health promotion.
  • Experience building relationships with industry community or organizational partners.
  • Strong public-speaking facilitation training and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing or delivering training education or technical assistance.
  • Strong project-management skills and ability to translate strategy into measurable results.
  • Excellent written interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to lead independently while working effectively within a collaborative team.

Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership Program DirectorPreferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the construction industry labor organizations trade associations or other high-risk industries.
  • Experience with membership growth sponsorships grants or fee-for-service programs.
  • Experience using databases or systems to track partnerships engagement and outcomes.


Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership Program DirectorCompensation:$68000-$85000 annually depending on education and experience.
