Construction Safety Specialist 2nd Shift required for 8 weeks

Pharmaceutical Construction Marietta PA Full-Time or Short-Term Temporary

Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Specialist to support an active pharmaceutical construction project in Marietta PA.

We are looking for a hands-on safety professional with 35 years of construction safety experience and previous experience supporting pharmaceutical life sciences biotech or other highly regulated construction projects.

Employment Options:

  • Full-Time: Start on 2nd shift for approximately the first 8 weeks with the opportunity to transition to a first shift afterwards.
  • Short-Term / Temporary: We will also consider qualified safety professionals interested in providing 2nd-shift construction safety coverage for approximately 8 weeks.

Local candidates only. No per diem travel reimbursement or relocation assistance is available.

What Youll Do

  • Provide daily Construction Safety / EHS oversight for contractors subcontractors and trades
  • Conduct jobsite inspections safety audits field observations and hazard assessments
  • Review JHAs JSAs Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) permits and contractor safety documentation
  • Coach contractors on OSHA compliance hazard recognition and safe work practices
  • Monitor high-risk construction activities including fall protection scaffolding excavation electrical safety LOTO confined space hot work cranes rigging and material handling
  • Support incident investigations near-miss reporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Conduct or support safety orientations toolbox talks safety meetings and field training
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 client requirements site safety plans and pharmaceutical facility EHS standards
  • Maintain inspection reports safety documentation incident records corrective action tracking and safety metrics

What Were Looking For

  • 35 years of construction safety experience
  • Previous pharmaceutical life sciences biotech or regulated facility construction experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting General Contractors subcontractors and multiple construction trades
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards
  • Experience with high-risk construction activities and contractor safety management
  • Strong hazard recognition field presence communication coaching and leadership skills
  • Ability to work 2nd shift
  • Reliable transportation
  • Preferred Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction First Aid/CPR/AED CHST STS-C ASP CSP OSHA 510/500 NFPA 70E or a degree in Occupational Safety EHS Construction Safety or a related field.
