Responsibilities:
Advise construction industry clients on legal and business matters
Draft review and negotiate construction contracts and related agreements
Handle construction defect claims and disputes
Manage lien bond and payment-related matters
Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
Represent clients in:
State and Federal Court
Arbitration Proceedings
Mediation
Administrative Hearings
Work closely with contractors developers architects engineers owners and suppliers
Collaborate with firm attorneys on complex litigation and transactional matters
Desired Experience
Licensed and in good standing with the Washington State Bar
Experience handling construction-related disputes
Contract drafting and negotiation experience
Familiarity with:
Construction contracts
Delay claims
Change orders
Mechanics liens
Payment disputes
Public works projects
Risk allocation provisions
Strong legal writing and analytical skills
Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating with a team
