Job Summary
Configuration Management Specialist II
McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist who will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport RI. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) is the United States Navys full-spectrum research development test and evaluation engineering and fleet support center for submarines autonomous underwater systems and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare.
Duties:
- Support the AN/BYG-1 Media Delivery Team in any tasks required including:
- Prepare transmittal paperwork for shipments
- Upload receipts and file electronically
- Track deliveries to ensure shipments have/had been received
- Review transmittals and shipments to ensure a quality product
- Handling and storage of classified and unclassified material
- BITs database tracking
- Alfresco database (where documentation is found)
- Follow up with Squadrons to confirm deliveries and notifications via phone calls/emails.
- Work closely with Division Heads to ensure their availability for signature of approval for all deliveries
- Work closely with Installation Team Leads to determine installation requirements
- Other tasks as assigned associated with BYG-1 media shipment/movement
- Media duplication efforts for support with fleet installation media
Requirements
- Effective communication both verbal and written
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong time management skills
- Experience in MS Office including Word Excel and Outlook
- Current DoD SECRET Clearance
- High School Diploma
