Compound Management Technician 898 (Contract)

We are seeking a Temporary Compound Management Technician for 6 months in the Discovery Core Department. The Archive Management Lab is highly automated and this role will require routine operation and troubleshooting of laboratory robotics while interfacing with web-based software tools.

• Set up execute and perform QC evaluations of automated compound printing to enable high-throughput screening efforts.
• Accurately weigh and dissolve samples to fulfill dry and solution-based compound sample requests.
• Coordinate the shipment of orders with the logistics department.
• Routinely operate and troubleshoot laboratory robotics and web-based software tools.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather process details and develop and author user-friendly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize daily operations.
• Translate complex workflows into clear step-by-step actionable instructions.

• Bachelors degree in Life Sciences Chemical Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline required.
• 13 years of relevant experience in a scientific laboratory or technical environment.
• Demonstrated experience writing editing and formatting technical documentation.

• Self-motivated detail-oriented individual who can multitask and follow standard operating procedures.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to learn and apply troubleshooting techniques for automation.
• Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.
• Ability to remain flexible and responsive to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively meet deadlines while working under pressure.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability and willingness to work a schedule that includes weekend shifts.
• High aptitude for common computer programs and comfort learning new software and hardware systems.
• Strong analytical skills to translate complex workflows into step-by-step actionable instructions.

Contract Length: 6 months

$30/hr.-$35/hr.

Monday through Friday; some weekend availability is required.
