Job Summary
Job Overview
We are hiring an experienced CNC Machinist with strong Wire EDM expertise for a precision manufacturing environment in Knoxville TN. This is a hands-on role for a highly skilled machinist who requires minimal training beyond learning company-specific products and processes.
The ideal candidate has 4 years of experience setting up programming and operating CNC mills lathes and Wire EDM machines with the ability to independently produce high-precision parts from blueprints and GD&T specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills lathes and Wire EDM machines
- Program and edit G-code at the machine control
- Work with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls
- Perform tooling setup fixturing alignment and workholding
- Read and interpret blueprints GD&T and engineering drawings
- Inspect parts using micrometers calipers and precision gauges
- Troubleshoot machining and EDM processes as needed
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe work area
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of CNC machining and Wire EDM experience
- Strong setup and operation experience with CNC mills and lathes
- Experience programming/editing G-code at the machine
- Experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T drawings
- Strong shop math and precision measurement skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Makino CNC machines
- Familiarity with Esprit or Mastercam software
- Background in aerospace medical device automotive mold & die or precision manufacturing environments
Work Environment
This is a full-time on-site manufacturing position located in Knoxville TN (37932). Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Relocation assistance is not available.
