Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect II to lead cloud infrastructure architecture modernization and transformation initiatives within a large-scale enterprise IT environment.

This is a senior-level opportunity for a cloud architect with deep expertise in AWS Microsoft Azure or GCP hybrid cloud architecture Kubernetes DevOps Infrastructure as Code automation cloud security and enterprise systems.

The Cloud Solutions Architect will develop architectural strategies and technical solutions supporting the transition of traditional data center environments to modern public private and hybrid cloud platforms. This individual will work across infrastructure application development architecture security and business teams to deliver scalable secure and highly available technology solutions.

• Lead cloud architecture and infrastructure modernization initiatives supporting enterprise technology operations.

• Develop architectural blueprints network topologies technical specifications and cloud solution designs.

• Architect solutions across IaaS PaaS and SaaS delivery models.

• Assess existing on-premises environments and design strategies for migration to public private and hybrid cloud platforms.

• Lead cross-functional technology initiatives involving infrastructure application security architecture and business teams.

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code IaC automation frameworks and deployment pipelines.

• Build and support CI/CD pipelines containerized applications microservices Kubernetes clusters and serverless infrastructure.

• Develop cloud automation using technologies such as Terraform Ansible AWS CloudFormation and Azure Resource Manager ARM templates.

• Support cloud APIs infrastructure services system integrations and highly scalable cloud environments.

• Establish cloud security architecture identity and access controls data governance monitoring logging and compliance standards.

• Ensure solutions meet applicable security and regulatory requirements including HIPAA where applicable.

• Evaluate cloud technologies and present architectural options and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

• Analyze existing technology environments identify architectural gaps and develop strategies to move from current-state to future-state architecture.

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure systems performance integration and deployment issues.

• Develop technical standards procedures diagrams documentation and architectural best practices.

• Provide technical leadership and direction to project teams and technology professionals.

• Support Agile and Scrum delivery practices while managing multiple concurrent enterprise initiatives.

• Assist with technical training and knowledge transfer associated with new technologies and platforms.

Candidates should have 7 years of relevant IT and cloud architecture experience including significant experience with:

• Enterprise cloud architecture infrastructure engineering or technology architecture.

• AWS Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform GCP.

• Cloud delivery models including IaaS PaaS and SaaS.

• Public private and hybrid cloud architecture.

• Cloud-based network architecture and design.

• Kubernetes architecture deployment scaling administration and maintenance.

• Containerization and microservices architecture.

• DevOps and CI/CD principles and technologies.

• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Ansible Docker AWS CloudFormation ARM templates or similar technologies.

• Cloud automation and scripting using Bash KornShell PowerShell cloud CLI tools and Kubernetes Helm.

• Declarative and configuration languages including YAML JSON HCL or similar technologies.

• Cloud monitoring logging auditing and performance management tools such as Dynatrace Sysdig Secure AWS CloudWatch Azure Monitor GCP Cloud Operations or comparable platforms.

• Cloud security identity and access management data governance and regulatory compliance.

• Enterprise architecture software development data analytics performance management or data warehousing environments.

• Analyzing complex technology systems identifying limitations or defects and designing scalable solutions.

• Agile and Scrum methodologies and ceremonies.

• Technical architecture documentation and diagramming using tools such as Microsoft Visio.

• Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Project.

Successful candidates must demonstrate:

• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced technical writing and architecture documentation capabilities.

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architecture.

• Ability to lead technical teams and provide architectural direction.

• Experience developing technical standards procedures and best practices.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

• Ability to operate independently with limited supervision while exercising sound technical judgment.

Highly preferred candidates will bring 8 years of enterprise cloud architecture engineering or development experience particularly within complex cloud and hybrid environments.

Additional preferred experience includes:

• Advanced AWS Azure or GCP architecture.

• Cloud database technologies including SQL Oracle relational and NoSQL databases.

• Data lakes and cloud-based ETL/ELT architectures.

• Structured and unstructured data frameworks.

• Enterprise data pipelines and big data technologies.

• Cloud-native analytics platforms.

• AI services available through major cloud providers including experience configuring or integrating cloud-based AI capabilities.
