Cloud Linux Engineer

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator/Cloud Engineer to enhance our existing technical team supporting the advancement of AI/ML/Data Science technologies in Warrenton VA.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated innovative cloud engineer to join in and contribute to a team environment. The candidate will be part of a team that supports the cloud infrastructure for an enterprise environment. This position requires a broad knowledge of system administration knowledge of automation technologies and scripting. This position also requires a knowledge of security and accreditation practices and procedures the ability to work with several enterprise resources and teams in the operation of an enterprise digitization infrastructure.

Required Skills:

• Must have hands-on experience with AWS and Linux in a production environment.
• Experience patching and maintaining systems databases to include RDS MySQL and Oracle
• Proven experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems
• Knowledge of Federated Identity RBAC authentication & authorization solution etc.
• Understanding of secure-cloud configuration (e.g. CloudTrail AWS Config) cloud-security technologies (e.g. VPC Security Groups) and
  Access Control (IAM).
• Experience with configuration management (e.g. Puppet Chef Ansible CloudFormation etc.)
• Experience with security such as NGFW WAF SIEM endpoint security.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
• Bachelors Degree in IT related field or equivalency in related work experience
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience working and solving technical problems independently as a system administrator.
• Experience using a scripting language.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise workflow applications to include: installing starting and stopping background
  processes analyzing log and event files and patching and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability creating and managing a virtual infrastructure such as AWS Azure Hyper-V or VMWare.
• Experience with an enterprise application development language such as Python Java or C# to include writing simple applications or modifying existing ones.
• An active security clearance with polygraph.
