Requirements for Security Program Protection Specialist
Bachelors degree in Cyber Security Information Technology Information Assurance Computer Science Engineering Intelligence Studies Security Management or a related discipline

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience supporting Information Security Program Protection Research Security or National Security programs

• Demonstrated experience developing managing and implementing security programs supporting Research & Development organizations

Preferred Qualifications
Masters or Ph.D. in Cyber Security Information Assurance Engineering Computer Science Intelligence Studies National Security or related field

• Experience supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)

• Experience supporting Intelligence Community research organizations

• Experience protecting emerging cloud technologies and advanced cyber capabilities

• Professional security certifications such as:

• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

• Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC)

• Security Program Integration Professional Certificate (SPIPC)

• Special Program Security Certification (SPSC)

• CISSP

• CISM

Research & Technology Protection (RTP)

• Develop and implement cloud and cyber security strategies policies and procedures to protect the organizations data and systems

• Monitor and assess the organizations cloud and cyber security posture identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies

• Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans to ensure the confidentiality integrity and availability of critical data and systems

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure cloud-based solutions and services

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud and cyber security and make recommendations for continuous improvement - Provide training and support to employees on security awareness and best practices

• Participate in incident response and resolution efforts including conducting forensic investigations and implementing remediation plans.
