Description of program and training opportunities:Wayside Metro West Community Services serves a variety of people with serious emotional disturbances through community based interventions: Intensive Care Coordination Mobile Crisis Intervention In-Home Therapy Family Support and Stabilization Therapeutic Mentoring Youth Support and Outpatient therapy. We utilize Wraparound Motivational Interviewing and strength-based models of care to see families not only in the office but also in their homes and provide intensive wrap-around family-centered solution-focused treatment. As a member of the site team interns will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with staff as well as independently with multi-stressed families across multiple settings. Internship Requirements:Intern must be available a minimum of 20 hours/week and have the ability to work two evenings a week.A background in health and human services or related field year interns must have strong communication skills both written and must be comfortable in a variety of settings including office home visits and community in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid drivers license and access to a reliable check and completion of Waysides Pre-service intakes assessments treatment plans/individual care plans follow up care and on-going attend and participate in staff meeting and intern care for families and individuals including seeking other services and resources as well as collaborating with a variety of systems and Wayside:Founded in 1977 Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is a non-profit nationally accredited human service agency headquartered in Framingham Massachusetts dedicated to building strength hope and resiliency in youth families and our local communities.
