We are seeking a Medical Assistant Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Union County Rural Health Clinic. This role supports patient care clinic operations and a positive experience for every patient and family we serve.

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients families visitors and healthcare team members.
• Assist with clinic operations including scheduling support referrals medical records communication and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Coordinate referrals by scheduling appointments following up on completion and ensuring documentation is received according to organizational standards.
• Prepare exam rooms maintain supplies and ensure equipment is available and ready for patient care.
• Obtain and document patient information including vital signs medical history medication lists and other clinical data.
• Assist providers with examinations procedures and patient care activities within scope of practice.
• Collect specimens perform testing as assigned and document results appropriately.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatments medications procedures and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Support quality initiatives patient satisfaction efforts and a culture of safety.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA OSHA CLIA and other regulatory standards.
• Travel to other medical offices when needed to support staffing needs.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• One year of healthcare or medical office experience

Required:

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program
• Current Illinois LPN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire

Preferred:

• One year of clinical nursing experience (new graduates may be considered)

Required:

• Associate Degree from an accredited nursing program
• Current Illinois RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire

Preferred:

• One year of professional clinical nursing experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
• Ability to learn and utilize electronic medical record systems.
