Qualifications:
College hours high school diploma or GED
Successful work experience in a school setting preferred
Experience in a helpdesk or support center environment preferred
Excellent typing word processing and file maintenance skills
Ability to create forms data/reports charts graphs
Excellent organization communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent telephone and public relation skills
Knowledge of general office machines
Ability to work with people
Ability to keep information confidential
Primary Purpose:
This position provides support to users of the Special Education Student Information System (eStar) as well as performing some of the management functions of the system.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support to users of the Special Education Student Information System including but not limited to Diagnostic Specialists Speech Language Pathologists Special Education teachers district administrators Licensed Specialists in School Psychology related service personnel and campus administrators.
Assist in administration and maintenance of those applications.
Assist in creation of training materials or provide end-user training for those applications.
Ensure user satisfaction by responding to user questions and requests for assistance. Log all user questions and problems and tracks the same through to resolution.
Respond to other district requests for records.
Manage user accounts.
Attend trainings to network with other district clerks with similar job responsibilities.
Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
Assist with the management of additional computer systems in the special education department.
Other SHARS Duties as assigned.
Provide Personal Care as identified in applicable student IEPs.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer phone system copier printer
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress frequent standing stooping bending kneeling pushing sitting for long periods moderate lifting and carrying 15-44 lbs. Move small stacks of textbooks audit folders media equipment desks and other classroom or adaptive equipment.
