JOB TITLE: Casino PorterDEPARTMENT: Public AreaJOB SUMMARY:It is the responsibility of the Casino Porter to provide excellent guest service and create a safe and friendly environment for employees and guests while establishing and maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of assigned areas in the Casino public areas (including parking areas) and unrestricted back of house JOB FUNCTIONS:Responsible for practicing supporting and always promoting the Company Service StandardsAlways Maintaining a clean environmentResponsible for ensuring Guests needs are metResponsible for escorting Guests to requested areasResponsible for the cleanliness of all public areas and assigned back of house areasSweeps and removes all wrappers broken glass ashtrays and debris from floorCleans and dusts slot machines including areas between machines doors and woodworkRemoves scuffmarks and drink spillsCleans up biohazard areasCleans slot chairs polishes their bases and then returns chairs to proper positionVacuums entire assigned stations moving chairs and other objects to ensure thorough cleaningRemoves trash replaces missing ashtrays and wipes out and cleans all ashtrays and trash cansRest Room MaintenanceClean sinks toilets urinals and countersEnsures all equipment is returned to department and all malfunctioning equipment is reportedReplenishes supplies when necessaryResponds to and resolves guest challenges in a timely manner and creatively solves problems with the ability to anticipate recognize evaluate and resolve potential difficultiesQUALIFICATIONS:Ability to work safely including understanding and following company safety policies and procedures completing work in a safe manner caring about safety of self and others responding appropriately in an emergency and reporting unsafe conditions; this also includes being aware of unsafe conditions such as spills wet areas debris and addressing quickly and efficientlyAbility to work with cleaning products chemicals and solvents using safety equipment provided by the companyMust be able to perform assigned duties both indoors and outdoorsMust understand cleaning and disposing of biohazardsMust be at least 21 years of age or olderMust be able to effectively communicate in EnglishEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:At least 6 months of related experience preferredPHYSICAL MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Requires normal corrective vision range the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters numbers and symbolsAbility to lift and move up to 70 pounds to be able to perform inspector and utility duties as neededManual dexterity to operate job related equipment including but not limited to a vacuum cleaning supplies and safety equipmentWork is typically in an area which may be unusually hot cold dusty noisy indoor outdoor and may contain second hand smokePerformance of job duties will require standing walking lifting bending reaching pushing pulling and grasping.
