Job Summary
St. Lukes Health - Patients Medical Center provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena Deer Park La Porte Baytown and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms and offers a range of primary and specialized serviceswound care general surgery gastroenterology occupational health heart and vascular womens services diagnostic imaging outpatient rehab services and sleep disorders.
As our Chief Nursing Officer you will define and execute the strategic vision for patient care system-wide ensuring exceptional high-quality and compassionate care delivery. This executive role drives operational excellence innovation and continuous improvement.
Every day you will strategically direct patient care units and services fostering clinical excellence. Responsibilities include mentoring senior leaders setting system-level patient safety and compliance and optimizing workflows for superior outcomes. Youll represent patient care at the executive level driving key initiatives.

You must influence a culture of excellence drive transformative improvement and deliver organizational patient care goals with a proven history of leading complex clinical teams and shaping change effectively.
- Participates in hospitals decisionmaking processes by collaborating with leaders from the governing body health system management hospital leadership council medical staff and clinical areas in developing strategic plans budgets resource allocation operational plans and policies.
- Leads nursing leadership in the development of a nursing mission vision philosophy strategic plan congruent with the hospitals mission vision and strategic plan.
- Mentors and Develops managers and staff to assume leadership roles both formally and informally via role modeling and facilitating staff participation in a shared leadership structure.
- Directs patient care team effectively as team leader and change agent.
- Develops and Implements effective communication channels to provide information to all staff members; provide the forum for staff to verbalize concerns issues and ideas in a nonthreatening environment.
- Develops and continually enhances a positive working relationship and the ability to problem solve with other members of the patient care delivery team including physicians and other departments.
- Registered Nurse (RN) active license in the state of employment or compact license
- Masters Degree in Nursing; If Masters Degree is not in nursing then must possess a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and Masters in a related field (M.H.A. M.B.A. or M.S.)
- Ten years of healthcare experience
- 5 years of leadership experience in nursing
