The Certified Pharmacy technician performs supportive duties to assist registered pharmacists to accurately and safely dispense and distribute medications. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist certified technicians may perform sterile compounding inventory control and ordering restocking of automated cabinets repackaging of medications collection of medication histories and other duties delegated to them.
- 2 years preferred
- High School Diploma
- Associates Degree Preferred
- Registration as a pharmacy technician with the NJ Board of Pharmacy
- Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as PTCB
- BOP registration application within 10 days of hire
- Certification within 90 days of hire
