Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Experience: Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience required

About the Role
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for an optometry clinic opportunity in Craig Alaska. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented Medical Assistant with strong patient care communication documentation and customer service skills who can support eye care services for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Room and screen patients for optometry providers

• Perform optical support tasks and point-of-care lab testing

• Assist with ocular imaging including photos OCT visual fields and topography

• Enter images and documentation into the medical record for provider review

• Assist patients with optical orders frame selection measurements payments and dispensing

• Support glasses and contact lens adjustments repairs and warranty replacements

• Assist with inventory management ordering returns and frame placement

• Support referrals recall tracking scheduling phones and patient paperwork

• Maintain patient confidentiality and timely documentation

Requirements

• National Medical Assistant certification required

• CMA CCMA or RMA accepted

• High school diploma or GED required

• BLS/BCLS required

• Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience required

• Strong customer service organization and attention to detail required

• Flu vaccine required

• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility

• Fingerprint processing required and may impact start timing

• Housing and transportation planning required before submission
