Cath LabElectrophysiology LabNon-Invasive Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider Per Diem

The Advanced Practice Provider (PA or APRN) is responsible for the assessment evaluation clinical management & treatment of patients within the Heart & Vascular Service Line; primarily for the diagnostic emergency and elective Cath lab EP Lab and interventional cardiology patients. This Nurse Practitioneror Physician Assistant will work in collaboration with the attending physicians and the staff to facilitate patient care from admission through discharge.

Per Diem - Minimum commitment of 4 weekday shifts per month. Shifts vary between 8AM to 6PM and 7AM to 5PM.

Pre-Op and Post-Op Responsibilities (No Intra-Op) include:

• Taking medical histories and performing physical examinations utilizing appropriate diagnostic techniques to assess patients condition
• Ordering and interpreting lab data radiological examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Completing accurate and appropriate orders; developing treatment plans in conjunction with the physician; and administering treatments and medications.
• Providing education instruction and counseling as indicated after assessing the learning needs of the patient and family.

Location: Stamford Hospitals Main Campusin Stamford CT

Qualifications:

• Valid license as APRN or PA in CT.
• ACLS certification required.

• Minimum 2 years of APRN experience in a similar position.
