Casual Bartender Olympic Bar

Olympic Bar located in the lobby of the historic Fairmont Olympic Hotel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Casual Bartender to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

• Create an outstanding dining experience for our guests by ensuring their needs are met promptly
• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails wines beers and non-alcoholic beverages with impeccable presentation and attention to detail
• Have an extensive knowledge of all menu items and their preparation
• Take guest orders while making menu recommendations
• Set up and maintain a clean and organized dining area
• Assist with table turnover and maintain a smooth flow of service during peak hours
• Collaborate with colleagues and kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least two years high volume restaurant serving experience preferred
• Luxury dining experience preferred
• General knowledge of Alcoholic beverages
• Working knowledge of wine & wine-pairings; Advanced knowledge preferred

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a valid Washington State Alcohol MAST Permit (Class 13)
• Must possess a valid Washington Food Worker Card
• Must be able to read write and speak English
• Must possesses excellent communication skills
• Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings weekends and holidays
• Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift with intermittent periods of walking
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height
