Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani a national law firm with offices in all 50 states has an immediate opening for a Case Assistant in its Madison office. The ideal candidate should have 1 year of legal or law firm experience. This position is primarily on-site with the potential for flexible hybrid work. This is a part-time role.
Requirements:
Strong analytical organizational and communication skills as well as close attention to detail.
Computer skills particularly experience with Microsoft Office Excel PowerPoint and Word.
Knowledge of iManage and Milana is a plus.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable multi-tasking in a team-structured setting.
Knowledge of court rules calendaring e-filing and filing procedures is a plus.
Responsibilities:
File correspondence pleadings and other documents.
Index pleadings and other documents.
Communicate with clients the courts other counsel and vendors.
Retrieve files.
Scan documents into iManage system/forward to attorneys and paralegals.
Assist with preparation for trial arbitration and mediation.
Distribute all incoming mail/FedEx.
Ensure all outgoing mail is routed in a timely manner.
General office upkeep.
