The King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks Solid Waste Division (SWD) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Project Management Office (PMO) as a Capital Reporting System Administrator (Project/Program Manager II). If you enjoy solving problems working with data and supporting meaningful public projects this is a great opportunity to make an impact.
In this position you will take the lead in managing and enhancing the Project Information System Management (PRISM) database the divisions internal system for accessing and reporting capital project information helping ensure accurate timely and meaningful capital project reporting. Youll partner closely with project managers and program staff to troubleshoot issues improve processes and support data-driven decision-making across the PMO.
This role combines system administration reporting support and process improvement to strengthen how project information is tracked analyzed and shared across the organization. You will also provide targeted operational and coordination support as needed to ensure effective system use and reporting outcomes.This position offers a strong opportunity to deepen your experience in project controls reporting and public infrastructure programs. About this Role:
This position serves as the subsystem administrator providing user support and program support within the Solid Waste Divisions Project Management Office (PMO). The role leads administration of the PRISM system the department-developed project information and reporting tool used within the Solid Waste Division supports and guides project managers and engineers in its effective use and acts as the divisions liaison with partner teams to coordinate system addition to targeted administrative support this position helps enable a team that manages and delivers capital improvement projects across SWD. By strengthening reporting processes and system use this role contributes to efficient well-coordinated project delivery across a diverse portfolio.
About the Team:Members of the Solid Waste Divisions Project Management Office (PMO) manages and supports Capital Improvement Projects that maintain and enhance critical SWD assets including transfer stations drop boxes the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill and other essential systems that support division goals. The section leads the Divisions project management efforts by coordinating project teams consultants contractors and technical staff to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with organizational and sponsor requirements.
Within this environment the Capital Reporting System Administrator plays a key role in supporting capital program delivery by managing the PRISM system strengthening project reporting and ensuring accurate reliable data is available to project teams and leadership to support decision-making and effective project execution.

Job Duties
What You Will Be Doing:
- Serve as liaison between SWD and Wastewater Treatment Divisions PRISM team.
- Oversee PRISM user access administration for SWD including account setup updates and access control compliance.
- Train onboard and support PRISM users in following established business processes.
- Coordinate quarterly capital project status reporting and submittals.
- Lead efforts to improve and streamline business processes related to project reporting and system use.
- Coordinate and lead biennial project forecast updates including guiding and supporting users through the process.
- Develop and coordinate programs or projects for PMO Team and cross functionally as needed.
- Participate in strategic planning and development and/or revise work procedures and process improvement.
- Develop and manage projects of limited scope within the unit.
- Analyze and evaluate data for assigned projects and technical systems and present options to management.
- Provide operational and logistical support to PMO staff including limited administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications You Bring:
- Minimum one year of experience administrating or using a complex project tracking system.
- Strong technical aptitude with experience supporting individuals and groups in the use of systems and/or software programs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supporting a team of technical staff.
- Experience supporting the administration maintenance or continuous improvement of business systems processes or reporting programs.
- Ability to manage scheduled reporting cycles or documentation updates with accuracy and consistency.
- Experience supporting operational or logistical activities in a project or program environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical professionals and individuals from diverse backgrounds in dynamic team environments supported by strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Working Conditions:
- Work Location: The PMO team works in a hybrid model with days in the office as well as telecommuting. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. The primary onsite location is King Street Center 201 S. Jackson Seattle Washington 98104. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the departments hybrid environment. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. - Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible with supervisor approval.
