Job Summary
Responsible for establishing a dynamic Christian campus faith development program applicable to all students and employees. This position plays an integral role in leading the spiritual development of a religiously diverse campus as well as fostering personal faith.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for all components of Spirit Life including scheduling speakers providing leadership to the praise band monitoring attendance and collaborating with OUAZ TV.
- Serves as the spiritual leader of the campus and establishes programming for Sprit Life.
- Creates a dynamic campus Christian faith development program which provides opportunities for personal growth and exploration for traditional-age students with varying interests in personal faith. Works to educate the larger student body to understand what it means to have an enlightened faith and then understand how this faith can impact and inform life.
- Develops programs (exploration relationship building and creative) that provide opportunities for interested students to explore personal Christian faith through co-curricular and spiritual activities following a dynamic and engaging format including but not limited to discipleship faith journeys scripture study worship services and programs around faith development.
- Provides opportunities for students interested in ministry and leadership to serve and support others through a dynamic campus leadership program including ministry-related career planning and internship opportunities.
- Models the Christian faith through conduct attitude and professionalism. Setting a standard and tone which creates excitement in everyday student life and reflects positively on the Christian faith the University and this program.
- Provides ministerial counseling and advising to students as needed. Coordinates Christian counseling-related activities in cooperation with the Campus Counselor as deemed appropriate. Assures policy and parameters are in place through collaborative work with the Counselor to assure students with needs are served.
- Recommends policy changes and develops procedures to improve the units operations.

Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelors Degree Masters Preferred.
Required Experience:Five years of applicable leadership/campus ministry experience required.

- Maintains interest and enthusiasm by getting involved and effectively leading faith programming (collaboratively) across the community: residence halls athletic teams intramurals non-traditional students etc.
Working Conditions:
(Physical attributes required to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation - examples: sitting lifting bending driving environmental factors or elements noise level stairs in a building or other factors that will affect working conditions)
- May require evening and weekend activities for events and meetings.
- Prolonged periods of sitting must be able to lift 5-15 pounds at times.
