This opportunity is with a well-established manufacturing company seeking a CAD Designer to support its engineering team on an approximately six-month assignment. While the position is initially project-based there is potential for it to become a permanent opportunity if future business needs arise.

The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining and updating technical drawings and 3D models used in production. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed design work problem-solving and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:
Creating and revising part and assembly drawings
Developing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Producing layouts diagrams and technical drawings from sketches concepts and existing documentation
Reviewing dimensions materials and component relationships to ensure design accuracy
Maintaining engineering drawings and related documentation
Supporting engineering change management processes and drawing revisions
Ensuring engineering prints and product specifications are complete and ready for manufacturing
Working closely with engineering and production teams to support product development and manufacturing needs
Assisting with documentation control and organization of drawing systems

Its a match for someone who has previous CAD drafting or mechanical design experience enjoys working with technical drawings and 3D modeling and takes pride in producing accurate high-quality work. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently while effectively collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Requirements:
Associates degree in CAD Drafting Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of CAD drafting or mechanical design experience
Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Experience creating detailed mechanical drawings and working with GD&T
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with manufacturing environments and engineering change processes preferred
Experience with 3D printing 3D scanning or additive manufacturing is a plus
