Shipping and Receiving Technician JLL

What this job involves: JLL seeks a dynamic and qualified individual for the role of Shipping and Receiving Technician. This position involves working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The role requires independent judgment to plan prioritize and organize a varied workload. The Technician provides essential support services to the client office ensuring accurate safe and timely shipping and receiving operations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented safety-conscious and demonstrate strong organizational and team-player skills.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Prepare required shipping documents for dangerous goods diagnostic and research samples
• Handle limited quantities and exceptions for hazmat shipping and dangerous goods
• Perform shipping and receiving duties selecting the most appropriate mode of transportation for shipments
• Drive a box truck and cargo truck (roughly 1520% of the time) for deliveries at least 3x daily
• Deliver packages in a timely fashion to appropriate end users obtaining signature for receipt
• Safely move goods packed on pallets crates furniture machinery or equipment around the facility ensuring loads are secure and properly stacked
• Comply with safety procedures maintain good housekeeping and respond effectively to emergencies

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid drivers license and completion of appropriate vehicle-specific training where applicable
• Strict adherence to federal state and local regulations
• Ability to lift 60 lbs. repeatedly and perform physical tasks such as bending and moving safely
• Ability to multitask maintain professionalism under stressful situations and manage work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience in the Bio-Pharma or Pharmaceutical industry or similar industry
• 5 years of Hazardous Materials shipping experience
• 3 years of relevant experience as a forklift operator
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Ability to detect emergency alarms (auditory and/or visual)

Location: Onsite Work Shift: Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Expected compensation for this position:

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications location market conditions and internal considerations.
