This is ahighvisibility endtoend rolewhere youll shape growth strategy influence investment decisions and bring complex energy projects to lifefrom concept through construction.

What Youll Do

In this role youll lead pipeline development initiatives that directly support company growth and customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:

Originate & Grow Opportunities

  • Identify and developnew largescale pipeline projects
  • Build relationships withindustrial customers developers and pipeline partners
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of growth opportunities across the region

Lead Projects from Concept to Construction

  • Own full project lifecycle:scope permitting financials and risk planning
  • Guide projects throughapproval funding and execution
  • Partner with engineering and construction teams while maintaining business ownership

Structure Deals & Contracts

  • Supportcommercial negotiations(interconnects transportation agreements term sheets
  • Collaborate with Legal Regulatory and Finance to ensure strong agreements
  • Balance customer needs withrisk management and return on investment

Build Business Cases & Financial Strategy

  • Developinvestment cases financial models and ROI analysis
  • Evaluate risks costs and longterm value of projects
  • Present recommendations to leadership for approval

Navigate Regulatory & Market Environment

  • Support strategy related toFlorida Public Service Commission (FPSC)requirements
  • Ensure compliance with tariffs regulations and industry standards
  • Stay informed on market trends and energy dynamics

Lead Through Influence

  • Partner crossfunctionally with Engineering Operations Legal Finance and Regulatory teams
  • Lead project teams and external partners without direct authority
  • Provide clear updates reporting and insights to leadership

  • Trusted relationships with customers partners and internal leaders

What Were Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree inBusiness Marketing Engineering Finance Economics Science Math or related field
  • 5 years of experiencein business development or project management/development
  • Strong analytical communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience building relationships and identifying new business opportunities
  • Knowledge of energy markets or infrastructure development fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience carrying out business development activities in the energy industry.
  • Greenfield natural gas pipeline development (origination through execution) with demonstratable experience delivering positive outcomes.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements
  • Experience working with a regulated utility
  • MBA or advanced degree

What to Expect

  • Office and field hybrid role
  • Frequent in-state travel to customer sites agency offices and construction locations; occasional regional travel.
  • Field and construction site presence may be required during key project milestones such as for route walks pre-construction meetings and commissioning.
  • Must adhere to all applicable safe work practices.

Incident Response Assignment

Our community relies on Peoples Gas to respond swiftly and effectively to all types of incidents including but not limited to major storm events (e.g. extreme cold tropical storms hurricanes) gas leaks equipment failures environmental hazards and other emergencies that may impact public safety or service continuity.

Peoples Gas depends on each team member to fulfill their primary and/or alternate roles and responsibilities during such incidents. As a Team Member of Peoples Gas you will be assigned anIncident Response Assignment receive trainingrelated to your role and may participate inmock drills or exercisessimulating various emergency scenarios
