Location: Washington DC (Onsite)

PETADATA is currently hiring a Business Analyst for one of their clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather analyze and document business requirements related to financial systems and processes.
Conduct detailed requirement analysis including BRD FRD use cases process flows and gap analysis.
Work closely with Accounting Treasury FP&A and Risk teams to understand functional needs.
Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
Support implementation and enhancement of financial systems such as ERP billing reporting and compliance platforms.
Perform impact analysis for regulatory and compliance changes (e.g. SOX GAAP IFRS).
Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) prepare test cases and ensure successful deployment.
Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend automation solutions.
Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Provide post-implementation support and assist in issue resolution.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field.
5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with strong exposure to the Finance domain.
In-depth knowledge of financial processes such as Accounts Payable (AP) Accounts Receivable (AR) General Ledger (GL) Budgeting Forecasting and Financial Reporting.
Strong understanding of financial compliance standards (GAAP IFRS SOX).
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP Oracle or similar financial platforms.
Proficiency in MS Excel SQL and reporting/BI tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
Strong analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.
Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Qualification :

Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
