Location: Birmingham AL Pay: $20.00$24.00 per hour
We are seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of a critical data center facility in Birmingham Alabama. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance troubleshooting equipment issues and assisting with repairs to ensure continuous operation of building systems.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC mechanical electrical plumbing and building systems.
Monitor facility equipment and record operating readings.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and assist with corrective repairs.
Inspect clean calibrate and replace components as required.
Support the maintenance of critical infrastructure systems that support data center operations.
Respond to facility service requests and maintenance work orders.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors performing maintenance or repair work.
Maintain inventory of tools equipment and maintenance supplies.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Identify and report potential equipment or facility issues before they become critical failures.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
02 years of experience in facilities maintenance building maintenance HVAC mechanical electrical or related trades.
Basic understanding of commercial or industrial building systems.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
EPA 608 Type II Certification required.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to lift equipment climb ladders and work in a data center environment.
Preferred Qualifications
EPA 608 Universal Certification.
Trade school education in HVAC refrigeration electrical systems or a related field.
Experience supporting commercial industrial manufacturing or data center facilities.
