Building Engineer JLL

What this job involves:

Join JLLs Atlanta facility operations team as a Building Engineer where you will play a critical role in maintaining safe efficient and high-performing building systems. This position focuses on ensuring seamless facility operations through proactive maintenance emergency response and contractor oversight. Your technical expertise will directly support JLLs commitment to delivering exceptional client environments and upholding our operational excellence standards.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Perform and direct assigned maintenance service requests ensuring efficient completion of work across all facility systems
• Maintain and monitor life safety systems including generators fire panels sprinklers and audio/visual devices
• Execute building and equipment maintenance including lighting system repairs plumbing and electrical work HVAC coil cleaning filter changes and belt replacements
• Supervise and monitor contractor performance to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed to standard
• Respond to emergency repairs and perform preventative maintenance routines according to established schedules
• Move machinery equipment and materials as requested to support facility operations
• Document all work performance and materials procurement in the CMMS system to maintain accurate facility records

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid state-issued drivers license
• 3 years of experience in general building repair and maintenance
• Basic computer skills for CMMS documentation and operational systems
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and use ladders safely
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with proficiency in hand tools power tools and related equipment
• Ability to recognize danger and safety hazards and propose elimination methods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an applicable technical training program
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Familiarity with life safety systems and codes
• Willingness to participate in ongoing technical safety and operational process training programs

Location:Onsite Atlanta GA

Schedule:Monday Friday 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. with on-call rotation approximately every 3 months

Compensation:$30$34/hour
