**Position Overview:**We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Rheumatologist for an outpatient practice tasked with launching an innovative service line to address autoimmune inflammatory and musculoskeletal disorders. This role will integrate into a collaborative team of over 100 healthcare providers aimed at delivering evidence-based care to enhance patient outcomes and expand specialty access within the community.

**Role Specifications:**

- **Position Title:** Rheumatologist Physician

- **Practice Type:** Outpatient

- **Work Schedule:** Four days of patient care per week and one administrative day dedicated to documentation care coordination quality initiatives and professional development.

- **Annual Commitment:** 46 working weeks per year including 29 days of Annual Time Off (ATO) and 5 days of Continuing Medical Education (CME) leave.

**Clinical Responsibilities:**The role entails:

- Comprehensive evaluation diagnosis and management of patients with rheumatologic conditions including but not limited to:

- Rheumatoid arthritis

- Psoriatic arthritis

- Ankylosing spondylitis

- Systemic lupus erythematosus - Vasculitis

- Sjögrens syndrome - Scleroderma

- Gout and crystal arthropathies

- Osteoarthritis - Osteoporosis

- Development of individualized treatment regimens and management of DMARDs biologics and infusion therapies alongside performing in-office procedures like joint aspirations injections and soft tissue injections.

- Interpreting laboratory and imaging results while ensuring coordination of care among various healthcare providers.- Patient and family education regarding disease management treatment options and preventive strategies.

**Administrative and Quality Enhancements:**- Proficient utilization of electronic medical records (EMR) for accurate documentation.

- Engagement in quality improvement initiatives and active participation in departmental meetings aiming to enhance care coordination and support population health strategies.

- Compliance with all relevant regulatory and organizational standards while assisting in clinical protocol development.

**Professional Expectations:**- Ongoing professional development to maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and competencies.

- Engagement in CME pursuits and adherence to licensure and certification requirements including DEA registration and credentialing.- Foster collaborative teamwork with diverse healthcare personnel.

**Qualifications:**- **Mandatory:** - MD or DO degree

- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship

- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Rheumatology (Certification required within 5 years of residency)

- Unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) for Wyoming

- Current DEA registration

- **Preferred:** - Experience in an outpatient rheumatology setting

- Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound

- Background in biologic therapy management and infusion services

- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement

**Knowledge Skills and Abilities:**- Proficient diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Capability to manage chronic and complex conditions effectively.- Commitment to evidence-based medical practices.- Strong organizational skills for effective documentation and care coordination.

**Certifications Required:**- BLS certification issued by AHA- Procedure logs are mandatory

- Active Wyoming State License or IMLC

- Vaccination Requirements: Covid and Flu vaccinations required or valid medical/religious exemptions accepted.

The schedule is set for four clinic days per week with one administrative day at the physicians discretion.
