Job Summary

## Position Overview

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of students and educators Iberville Parish Schools is seeking a dedicated collaborative and skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Exceptional Student Services team.

In this role you wont be stretched thin across an entire district. You will be strategically assigned to a couple of specific schools allowing you to build deep meaningful relationships with staff students and families. Your primary focus will be supporting students who exhibit significant behavioral challenges associated with autism spectrum disorders sensory processing differences and related developmental disabilities.

## Key Responsibilities

  • Behavior Assessment: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and functional analyses to determine the environmental variables maintaining challenging behaviors.

  • Plan Development: Design implement and monitor evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to students unique sensory and autism-related needs.

  • School-Based Support: Provide direct coaching modeling and side-by-side support to special education teachers general education teachers and paraprofessionals within your assigned schools.

  • Sensory Integration Collaboration: Work closely with Occupational Therapists (OTs) and speech-language pathologists to ensure behavior plans account for and accommodate students sensory profiles.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Train staff on accurate data collection methods; regularly graph analyze and interpret data to modify intervention strategies as needed.

  • Crisis Intervention: Provide guidance and crisis stabilization strategies for high-intensity behavioral situations ensuring a safe learning environment for all.

  • Collaboration & Training: Lead professional development workshops on ABA principles autism strategies and de-escalation techniques for school-based personnel.

## Qualifications & Requirements

Required Education & Credentials:

  • Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis Special Education Psychology or a related field.

  • Current valid BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.

  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a Behavior Analyst by the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board (LBAB).

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and significant behavioral/sensory challenges (school-based experience is highly preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of pedagogical structures IEP processes and IDEA regulations.

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to consult effectively with diverse multidisciplinary teams.

  • Must possess a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel between assigned school sites.
