BillingCollections Srvcs Lead

Assists and supports the Manager in reviewing trending and managing accounts receivable and billing functions. The Lead is responsible for the development change management and education of team members to ensure efficacy of facility collections. This individual models positive behavior while engaging staff in team tasks projects and responsibilities in support of divisional and organizational goals. The Responsible for keeping up to date and complying with all regulatory guidelines and all applicable federal and state legislation.

- Require an associate degree in related field bachelors degree preferred. Relevant work experience can substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.
Requires a minimum of five (5) years in health system Patient Financial Services or related department as well as competent experience with claims management third party and governmental collections customer service denial management and managed care contract review.
- Require Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification within one (1) year of promotion/hire.

- Prefer demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of ICD-10 CPT HCPCS DRG and Revenue Codes.
- Prefer ability to analyze data identify and trend issues and to follow issues through to resolution.
- Prefer ability to lead train and support multiple teams.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to resolution.
- Prefer demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to handle difficult situations in a diplomatic manner.
- Prefer demonstrated analytic computer skills in spreadsheets word processing and other applications.
- Prefer demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgement decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- Prefer demonstrated willingness to commit to and comply with established critical success factors and statistical goals of the health system and the department.
- Prefer proficiency within claim system to include resolving edits issuing service requests and maintaining functions that impact billing and claim teams.
- Prefer knowledge of Governmental and Commercial payer policies procedures and regulations familiarity with regulations as applied to billing and ability to accurately adhere to compliance guidelines for any billing.

M-F 40 hrs per week start time flexible but preferred is between 7am - 8am to be available for staff
