About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role running the day-to-day of a billing and payroll team within a large healthcare organization spanning many departments that bill for a variety of services. Reporting to a CFO who oversees the broader operation youll lead the reps who handle medical billing and the staff who field payroll questions from employees while staying in the details yourself. Youll chase down lost billings manage payroll escalations and be the person who answers when an employee flags they were overpaid or underpaid by a few dollars. Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead the billing and payroll team day to day staying hands-on
• Support billing reps and payroll staff across many departments
• Report to the CFO overseeing the overall operation

Billing

• Chase down lost or outstanding billings
• Apply medical billing expertise across a range of services and departments

Payroll

• Handle payroll escalations and resolve discrepancies
• Answer employee questions on overpayment or underpayment down to the dollar

Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare and medical billing
• Proven ability to lead a team while staying hands-on
• Strong attention to detail and comfort resolving payroll discrepancies
