Position Summary
The Employee & Community Relations Coordinator builds positive relationships between our employees and the community. This role develops non-profit partnerships coordinates employee volunteer activities supplies community-focused social media content and supports employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong relationship-building skills experience in community relations and event planning and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
The Employee & Community Relations Coordinator builds positive relationships between our employees and the community. This role develops non-profit partnerships coordinates employee volunteer activities supplies community-focused social media content and supports employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong relationship-building skills experience in community relations and event planning and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Development: Seeks out non-profit organizations initiatives and events whose missions align with our company and the Long-Lewis Foundation prioritizing opportunities where employees can actively volunteer. Builds and maintains relationships with community leaders and nonprofit stakeholders.
- Volunteer Coordination: Encourages and coordinates employee volunteerism by planning and executing multiple community events at once and communicating details to keep employees engaged.
- Event Representation: Represents the company at partnership and charitable events helping the community see our employees actively serving rather than only giving financially.
- Social Media Content: Meets regularly with the Corporate Marketing Director to plan posts giveaways and engagement that highlight our community involvement.
- Internal Collaboration: Works with the Corporate Community Relations Manager and other team members to find new ways to give back beyond sponsorships and volunteering.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations Human Resources Marketing Business Administration or a related field preferred
- Experience in community relations employee engagement volunteer coordination or event planning
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing social media and creating engaging content
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook)
