Job Summary

Position: Behavioral Respite Clinical Manager

Pay Range: $120000-$150000 PER YR

Reporting To: VP of Clinical & Direct Care Services

Work Type: On-site

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Behavioral Respite Clinical Manager provides clinical leadership and oversight for the Behavioral Respite program serving individuals with developmental and behavioral needs. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality evidence-based behavioral services supervising clinical staff and maintaining compliance with all Behavior Analyst Certification Board standards and applicable state regulations.

The Clinical Manager plays a critical role in developing individualized behavior intervention strategies monitoring client progress and supporting staff and families through training and supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  2. Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis Psychology Education or related field
  3. Minimum 5 years experience providing ABA services
  4. Minimum 2 years experience supervising RBTs and/or clinical staff
  5. Strong knowledge of behavior plan development data analysis and ABA methodologies
  6. Experience in Respite care crisis intervention or short-term behavioral support settings preferred
  7. Leadership or program development experience preferred
  8. Familiarity with California Regional Center systems and regulations preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Oversight & Program Development

  1. Review individualized client plans provided by state/regional agencies and translate them into effective client-centered behavior intervention plans
  2. Develop and oversee implementation of behavior support plans for use by Behavioral Respite Professionals
  3. Ensure all interventions align with best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  4. Design and implement meaningful data collection systems tied to consumer goals (skill acquisition and behavior reduction)
  5. Monitor consumer progress through ongoing data review and adjust plans as needed

Staff Supervision & Training

  1. Provide clinical supervision to Behavioral Respite Professionals to ensure fidelity of behavior plan implementation
  2. Conduct competency assessments for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) candidates in accordance with Behavior Analyst certification Board requirements
  3. Delivering ongoing supervision to RBTs ensuring compliance with supervision standards
  4. Provide coaching feedback and performance support to staff across all levels

Training & Education

  1. Facilitate RBT exam preparation study groups for staff pursuing certification
  2. Develop and deliver parent/caregiver training sessions (individual and group formats)
  3. Provide education on behavior management strategies data collection and skill-building techniques

Data & Quality Assurance

  1. Establish and maintain systems for data collection analysis and reporting
  2. Ensure documentation meets regulatory ethical and organizational standards
  3. Use data to drive clinical decisions and continuous program improvement
  4. Support audits and ensure program compliance with state and funding requirements

Collaboration & Leadership

  1. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Case Managers and Regional Centers
  2. Serve as the clinical point of contact for program-related concerns
  3. Contribute to program development policies and strategic growth initiatives
  4. Promote a culture of ethical practice accountability and continuous learning

General Responsibilities & Compliance

  1. Conduct all functions in accordance with agency guidelines policies and procedures.
  2. Driving may be required throughout territories we services.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stand sit talk hear reach stoop kneel and use of hands and fingers to operate computer telephone and keyboard on a frequent basis (Up to 75% of the time).
  • Close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required (up to 25lbs).
  • Driving (up to 10% of the time).
