Bartender Full Service Hotel
Location : Chicago Marriott Northwest (Hoffman Estates IL 60192)
Chicago Marriott Northwest is seeking a professional high-energy Bartender with strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will be experienced in full-service hotel or upscale bar environments and capable of delivering both classic cocktails and innovative beverage experiences.
Position Overview
The Bartender will be responsible for creating a welcoming bar atmosphere engaging with guests understanding preferences and delivering high-quality beverage service. This role also includes recommending menu items upselling maintaining bar cleanliness and supporting overall guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Create a warm welcoming and professional bar environment
- Prepare and serve classic and signature cocktails wine and beer
- Engage with guests to recommend beverages and food pairings
- Maintain full knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- Follow proper service standards with speed and accuracy
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of bar and seating areas
- Handle cash credit and debit transactions accurately
- Maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies
- Verify legal drinking age in compliance with regulations
- Support development of new cocktail recipes
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and service teams
Qualifications
- 12 years bartender experience (full-service hotel preferred)
- Strong knowledge of cocktails wine and beverage service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Flexible availability (nights weekends holidays)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic math and POS/computer skills
