Automotive Detail Manager in Training

Shottenkirk Chevrolet KIA of Quincy is looking for a motivated dependable and detail-oriented Automotive Detail Manager in Training to join our growing team in Quincy Illinois.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with automotive detailing experience who is ready to grow into a leadership role. Youll receive hands-on training in every aspect of managing a busy dealership detail department including scheduling workflow maintaining quality standards managing supplies and leading a team.

• $15.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience

• Wash wax and detail new and pre-owned vehicles to dealership standards
• Thoroughly clean vehicle interiors including carpets upholstery dashboards trim and glass
• Perform paint correction buffing polishing and protective coatings as needed
• Inspect completed vehicles to ensure exceptional quality and presentation
• Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery
• Learn to coordinate daily workflow and prioritize detailing assignments
• Assist with inventory management for detailing products and equipment
• Help train and mentor detailing team members
• Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment
• Safely move vehicles throughout the dealership lot
• Support the Detail Manager with department operations scheduling and quality control

• Previous automotive detailing experience preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Ability to stand bend lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
