Job Summary

The Jr. Automation Technician assists in inspections testing and adjusting electronic mechanical and pneumatic automation devices and systems. The Jr. Automation Tech will help troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical electrical and controls problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with tests inspect and adjust temperature sensors flow meters pressure gauges temperature indicators controllers or other recording indicating or controls drawings to check for accuracy.
Assist in building Automation Graphics BAS front-end basic programming field-level controller programming and checkout.
Keep management or customers informed of job progress and issues.
Help prepare schematic drawings sketches and blueprints as needed.
Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to filling out accurate timesheets completing checkout sheets supporting Smartsheet daily jobs reports and other project-related documentation.
Interface with the Automation Team of programmers engineers designers and project managers.
Adhere to all safety standards and attend required safety training.

Qualifications

Associates degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) preferred.
Previous industry experience or experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry is a plus.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Attention and listening skills.
Strong Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and or HVAC-related software.
Able to use essential hand tools.
