Role: Automation Technician

Location: Concord NC

Duration: Long Term

Shift: Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule (12-Hour Shifts)

Day Shift: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM

Night Shift: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations by providing hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of automation systems and production equipment. This role will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability minimizing downtime and supporting critical filling operations within a GMP-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
• Diagnose and address equipment failures control system alarms instrumentation issues and process disruptions.
• Support aseptic and pharmaceutical filling operations by maintaining and optimizing equipment performance.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of safety circuits instrumentation circuits sensors transmitters motors VFDs and control panels.
• Monitor automation system performance and identify opportunities for increased reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Operations Maintenance Engineering and Quality teams to quickly resolve production issues.
• Support preventative maintenance activities and assist with system improvements and upgrades.
• Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with GMP safety and site procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-based automation and control systems.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical biotech or aseptic manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation sensors transmitters motors VFDs and industrial control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting safety circuits and instrumentation circuits.
• Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation platforms.
• Experience working with ControlLogix PLC systems.
• Strong problem-solving troubleshooting and communication skills.
