At a glance!:The Athletics department is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented professional. LCC Athletics is a respected program that is a leader in the 35-school Northwest Athletic Conference. The Athletics team consists of an Athletic Director a Sports Information Director an Athletics Game Management Assistant and Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches who work collaboratively to manage 115-120 student athletes.


Who You Are: A successful candidate for this position will be a highly organized details-first professional with the ability to thrive behind the scenes of a fast-paced athletic department. This individual balances structural compliance with a supportive student-centered approach ensuring that our student-athletes have what they need to succeed both on the field and in the classroom.

Whether navigating complex eligibility regulations managing budgets or coordinating travel logistics the ideal candidate handles multiple moving parts with ease and accuracy. They are an approachable communicator who enjoys collaborating across campus departments working with external community partners and mentoring student-workers as they take on leadership roles on game days. Above all they are motivated by a commitment to equity accountability and helping a diverse population of student-athletes achieve their academic and athletic goals.

The Position: In this role you will serve as the operational backbone of the department bridging the gap between sports management administrative compliance and student success. You will manage crucial day-to-day functionsincluding departmental budgets travel logistics and student-worker supervisionwhile ensuring strict adherence to NWAC and federal eligibility standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to directly impact the student-athlete experience by providing clear guidance on funding academic expectations and program requirements in a supportive equity-focused environment.


This position is categorized as a Program Support Supervisor 2 under State of Washington Class Specifications.This position is 40 hours/week with the typical schedule being Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with some evening and weekend responsibilities. While primarily an in-person position occasional remote work opportunities are available after the initial training period. The Program Support Supervisor 2 reports to the Athletic Director.

Successful candidates typically start towards the beginning of the salary range and will receive scheduled salary increases.

Example of Duties & Responsibilities

50% - Budgeting & Business Operations

  • Manage administer and coordinate departmental budgets including tracking expenses in S&A and fundraised accounts processing accounts receivables/payables and reconciling card purchases.

  • Plan organize and implement athletic team travel including coordinating game transportation with Campus Services and bus drivers and reconciling trip expenses.

  • Forecast and request funding from ASLCC.

  • Manage the athletics secondary insurance program.

  • Prepare and process Departmental Special Contracts for coaching and administrative staff (such as Assistant A.D. and Study Table Coordinator).


25% - Compliance Advising & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance of team eligibility forms and follow up with coaches so that no student-athlete is allowed to participate in a contest unless eligibility rules are met.

  • Plan and carry out team meetings with each sports team each Fall to explain eligibility transfer and grade processes emphasizing academic performance.

  • Plan implement and carry out the Athletic Grant-in-Aid program working with Financial Aid and Finance to ensure correct student waiver amounts and NWAC/LCC rule compliance.

  • Submit eligibility reporting to NWAC prior to deadlines and prepare specialized reports (Athletic GPA Data Presidents Cup Athlete Scholar-Athlete Report and the federal US Department of Education EADA Report).


25% - Personnel Management & Community Relations

  • Hire onboard and supervise 2030 student and part-time game-day staff each academic year matching athletes to specific roles and managing timesheet deadlines.

  • Assist with Booster Club outreach and special community activities.

Typical Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate in Business Administration Marketing or related fields OR equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience working within a collegiate athletic setting with an understanding of the unique seasonal timelines event structures and student-athlete needs.

  • Experience tracking expenses processing payables/receivables and reconciling purchases.

  • Proven ability to organize complex logistics such as team travel transportation scheduling or event planning.

  • Experience delivering clear presentations or orientations to diverse groups.

  • Ability to maintain accurate files track participant data and compile structured reports under strict deadlines.

  • Experience hiring scheduling or supervising student workers or part-time staff.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and partners from diverse backgrounds.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution

  • Experience interpreting complex guidelines (e.g. athletic conference regulations academic eligibility or federal policies).

  • Familiarity with college processes particularly financial aid registrar tracking or student services.

  • Experience forecasting funding needs and presenting proposals to institutional boards.

  • Experience managing specialized employment or vendor contracts.
