This role is at Spirit AeroSystems Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company supporting Spirits Commercial Business Units (Spirit Commercial). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes one of Boeings three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercials core products include fuselages pylons nacelles and wing components with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Spirit AeroSystems Raw Material Commodity Purchasing Team is responsible for the procurement of both metallic and non-metallic materials. The company has contracts and agreements in place with top-tier suppliers across the globe. Procurement Agents have responsibility for various pieces of the purchased component life cycle including requirement identification sourcing order placement and receipt/delivery. Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company. Interfacing with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality parts are delivered to the right place at the right time.

Performs part or all the following:

Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts agreements and purchase orders.
Develops requests for quotations and proposals analyzes supplier responses negotiates and awards contracts and manages post award supplier activities.
Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Manages inventory levels purchase orders and supplier performance.
Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning. Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions.
