Associate Intergration / Test Engineer
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and recover mission system software loads in support of JAMMS Lab AC SIL integration and testing MCTS trainer system integration and testing aircraft systems for operational testing and delivery.
- Interfaces with supervisor customer Project Engineering and Program Management to determine System Integration Laboratory (SIL) support requirements delivery schedules and software matrices.
- Starts up JAMMS Ground System SIL equipment and loads all MRL released software in an orderly fashion; shuts down in the same manner to reconfigure the JAMMS Ground Systems as required.
- Monitors delivery schedules and ongoing test/integration activities and provides technical support completes GCF activities as well as troubleshooting and repair or replacement of defective equipment.
- Assists in planning periodic SIL upgrades to new wiring and equipment configurations.
- Works with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work.
- Provides regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to keep management and our customer informed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to identify and find solutions for defects and mitigate risk.
- Able to multi-task on numerous and varied system projects simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of how software works in conjunction with hardware interdependencies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security certification.
- Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to create and maintain strong working relationships within the company and with customers.
- Candidate must be willing and able to work a flexible job schedule to include off-shift or weekend work and occasional overtime
- Physical Requirements: Some lifting required
- Ability to communicate effectively with developers to explain requirements when needed.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Clear understanding of software troubleshooting process
- Ability to solve problems using logical engineering thought process
- Enterprise LAN knowledge
- Current or previous CompTIA Security certification is highly desired.
