THE COURSE

The Associate Color Coordinator brings Tommy Bahamas seasonal color to life digitally mixing and maintaining the master color palette in NEDGraphics and ensuring every approved color translates accurately across our systems tools and printed output. This position requires a strong eye for color accuracy an understanding of basic color science and a high level of organization and attention to detail. This role serves as the subject matter expert for our color systems and standards and the point of contact between Design and IT for related equipment and tools. The position reports into the Design Systems & Processes and works closely with Design leadership and other cross-functional teams

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

  • Digitally mix seasonal colors in NEDGraphics and maintain the master seasonal palette translating each approved color into the formats required by FlexPLM Blue Cherry Adobe Creative Suite Miro NuOrder and production printing and auditing color records for accuracy across systems.
  • Serve as the go-to resource and subject matter expert for our color systems and tools diagnosing whether issues are systems or process related and maintaining the documentation and end-user training that enable self-service.
  • Build and maintain Excel tools (basic formulas and pivot tables) that track the cost of department supplies and flag rising costs before they become a problem.
  • Keep the wide format Epson fleet and light booths calibrated and accurate and act as the Design/IT liaison for system issues new functionality and vendor support.
  • Support Design leadership each season by matching fabric color standards to the art headers and trend decks they source building out the seasonal color palettes.
  • Create and update on-brand color names for all new colors ensuring consistency with established naming conventions and submitting revisions for legal review and approval as needed.
  • Maintain and organize the physical color standard library by categorizing auditing inventory ordering supplies processing invoices and filing fabric color standards accurately.
  • Partner with the Director of Design & Supply Chain Systems & Processes to gather requirements and evaluate new color system features that could benefit the business.
  • Build update and share a comprehensive deliverables calendar managing workload and priorities proactively.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the overall business.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

  • High school diploma required. Associates degree in Color Science Fashion Textile or Graphic Design preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience in wide format printing color matching or color management and print production will also be considered.
  • 13 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator required).
  • Solid understanding of color theory and color space conversions (RGB CMYK LAB HEX).
  • Experience using NEDGraphics or similar textile and color software preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel (basic formulas and pivot tables) and Outlook with familiarity with product data systems such as FlexPLM or Blue Cherry.
  • A sharp eye for color accuracy and a real passion for fashion and design.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines.
  • A dependable proactive collaborative approach with a customer-service mindset and a proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with partners at every level of the organization.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically quickly learn new processes and systems and drive tasks to completion

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role including an individuals experience knowledge and skillset as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $26.78 to 40.17 per hour
