Location: Boston MA. This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work remotely part of the week with at least one day per week in the office to collaborate with the team.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to practice in Massachusetts and have current litigation department experience. Admission in Rhode Island Connecticut or New Hampshire is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Support partners and senior associates on major civil litigation matters from initial pleadings through discovery motion practice trial preparation and trial
• Draft pleadings motions discovery requests discovery responses reports and case related correspondence
• Assist with case strategy factual investigation legal research document review and witness preparation
• Manage discovery workflows analyze records and help develop key facts and themes for complex litigation matters
• Participate in depositions hearings court appearances mediations and trial preparation as experience allows
• Work on matters involving institutional clients product liability toxic tort catastrophic injury and other high exposure civil litigation
• Collaborate with a team that values strong writing sharp analysis responsiveness and practical judgment

Qualifications

• 1 years of litigation experience ideally in a law firm litigation department
• Active Massachusetts bar admission required
• Rhode Island Connecticut or New Hampshire bar admission preferred
• Experience supporting civil litigation matters from pleadings through discovery required
• Product liability toxic tort catastrophic injury or complex litigation experience preferred
• Strong legal research writing analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines stay organized and contribute in a fast paced litigation environment
• Professional responsive team oriented approach with strong attention to detail
