Assistant Subsea Engineer

Job Summary

The Assistant Subsea is predominantly the trainee of the Subsea Department. This position is responsible for the performance of all marine related subsea and surface well control and associated equipmentand scheduled work and reportsto the Senior Subsea Engineerand the SubseaEngineer.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety as well as that of the crew.

• Attendsand participates in all pre-tour post tour and weekly safety meetings.

• Performs all work according to agreed expectations of both internal and external customers focuses on doing things right first time every time and contribute actively to continual improvement activities.

• Conducts inspection maintenance and repair rounds on all Subsea related equipment.

• PerformsSubsea department daily checks filling out the checklist as required.

• Participatesin weekly STOP tour with Subsea Department Personnel.

• Ensurescleanliness and good housekeeping in work area.

• Keepswritten hand-over notes to ensure efficient and accurate transfer of information.

• Reports all defects to the immediate Supervisor.

  Qualifications / Experience

• High School diplomaor equivalentrequired with a minimum of two (2) years offshore experience.

• Fluent English communication skill both written and oral.

• Completion of all mandatory training and certification requirements for Assistant Subsea Engineer.
