Assistant Project Manager

Location: Wood Dale IL (in-office) with regular travel to nearby active job sites in Chicagoland

Compensation: $90000$100000/year year-end bonus

About Our Client

Our client is an employee-owned commercial construction company built on the idea that when their people share in the success of the company everyone wins. As an ESOP every team member has a direct stake in the work they do and the projects they deliver. They are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team and grow with them in office in Wood Dale IL and out at job sites across the Chicagoland area.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Support several Project Managers across multiple active projects
• Manage submittals and RFIs
• Assist with subcontracts and remittance
• Maintain and update project schedules
• Coordinate daily with superintendents and help resolve field issues as they arise
• Process and track change orders in Primavera P6

Must-Haves

• 3 years of commercial construction experience as APM Project Engineer etc.
• Background from a General Contractor or a subcontractor is welcome
• Familiarity with public/institutional project delivery - many public projects here!
• College degree preferred- not required
• ERP experience Sage products preferred!
